Board members titles and job duties
National Founder – Babu Omowale – Duties include, organizing charters on a
local, state, and national level. Making sure chapters and members function within the ideology of the organization in collaboration with the central committee.
If a mechanism is not functioning properly, it is his responsibility to make sure
that mechanism is up to standard in supporting the club.
National Spokesperson - There should be a one singular voice speaking publicly on behalf of the gun club. No member should be giving interviews to any
media outlets to include tv, radio, print or social platforms. All media requests
should be forwarded to the national spokesperson for consideration and he/she
will bring those requests to the board for review.
Minister of Justice – This position is responsible for the creation,
implementation, and enforcement of all the clubs by laws and policies. This
position is also responsible for litigation of members who do not follow the bylaws
of the organization, and to seek assistance from the national board members to
intervene in cases against the members in bad standing with the organization.
The minister of justice also keeps people outside of the organization from doing
any harm to any of the organization members, and to resolve problems in the
interest of the gun club.
National Treasurer – The national treasurers responsible is overseeing the
financial health of the gun club, monitor funds and expenditures, and guide fiscal
strategies to support the organization’s goals.
Director of Community Programs – The responsibility of this position is
implementing community programs within the club to keep members active,
engaged, and foster rapport with the organization and community. Doing so, this
will increase the chances of building membership while providing the community with tangible resources to support our people.
Director of Security – The director of security will ensure the safety and security
of the organization’s members. He or she also has the responsibility to
implement security policies, protocols, procedures, and guidelines for the gun
club.
Sergeant at Arms – As the sergeant at arms, it is his or her responsibility for
keeping order during club related meetings and removing disruptive members if
necessary. A sergeant at arms may act as a liaison with other allies, local, state,
and nationally who share our same interest. They may also review and
implement policies and training material in relation to the defense and safety of
the Huey P Newton Gun Club.
