About the Huey P. Newton Gun Club

The Huey P. Newton Gun Club was established to continue the revolutionary legacy of Dr. Huey P. Newton and the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense. Our mission is to educate the masses of Black people on the necessity of self—self-preservation, self-defense, and self-sufficiency. We believe that liberation begins with knowledge of self and the disciplined practice of self-determination.

We teach our members and communities that self-defense is not aggression—it is protection. Self-sufficiency is not isolation—it is empowerment. Self-preservation is not fear—it is love of life and community. Through structured training, education, and civic participation, we strive to build responsible men and women who are capable of defending, sustaining, and advancing the well-being of our people.

Discipline and attention to detail are at the core of our way of life. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of conduct, understanding that true revolution begins within. By promoting unity, respect, and collective accountability, we seek to strengthen the bonds between individuals, families, and communities.

The Huey P. Newton Gun Club operates on the principles of peace, justice, and equality for all. We envision a world where Black people and all oppressed communities can live free from the chains of systemic violence, poverty, and discrimination. Our purpose is not only to resist oppression, but to build a new culture of empowerment—one where every person has the means and mindset to live free, proud, and self-determined.

Through our programs, training sessions, and community outreach, we provide education on firearms safety, conflict resolution, and responsible citizenship. We engage in political education, community service, and public awareness initiatives to ensure that our message of empowerment reaches every corner of our nation.
